Summary:
Project
"Create to Integrate" ( or Inte-GREAT!) aims to develop, elaborate
and approbate innovative, inexpensive methods and training programmes for
integration, using various crafts and arts as the basic tool. The idea is to
elaborate and make easily accessible (printed photo leaflets and video clips)
,step by step instructions for various natural craft works, without using much
verbal communication which usually creates problems at the initial stage of integration.
Trainers by using those easy-to-understand tools can gradually start the
integration process of various target groups (immigrants, disabled, deprivilliged)
into mainstream groups when the first barriers have disappeared and
communication has started.
Partners:
Project
coordinator is an NGO from Latvia - Talent City. The organization offers various crafts courses for different
target groups. In this project Talent City organizes preparatory and final
meetings and is responsible for the creation of the final product and
reporting.Partners from Sweden and
Lithuania - organize local workshops for their target groups, document their
experiences.
The end product:
Target Group:
The direct
beneficiaries are the participants from local organizations, who receive
crafts/arts skills and gain international experience. Trainers receive ready
made programmes and training manuals. Indirectly the beneficiaries are all organizations working
with disabled, immigrants and other target groups who are in need of such
easily applicable materials.
